After a brief rain delay, another swimming pool demolition is officially in the books! We recently completed a full gunite swimming pool removal in Herndon, Virginia, and the project went smoothly from start to finish.
The entire pool structure was demolished and removed, with all concrete rubble hauled off to a licensed concrete recycling facility, where it will be processed and reused as aggregate. Equipment was carefully sized and selected to match the site’s logistics, allowing us to minimize disturbance to the mature trees surrounding the pool area.
Access to the swimming pool was limited due to a steep slope, but with proper planning and experience, we were able to safely complete the demolition. Once the pool was removed, the area was properly graded, topped with screened topsoil, and seeded with a blended fescue grass mix. To protect the slope and prevent erosion, we installed an erosion control blanket to keep soil and seed in place during establishment.
You won’t find a swimming pool demolition contractor in Northern Virginia more focused on quality, planning, and respect for your property than we are.
And most importantly—this homeowner was an absolute pleasure to work with!
